Cambridge Program Application Update
Cambridge Program Application Update - Effective July 6, 2026
Beginning July 6, 2026, all Middle School Cambridge Program applications must include the student’s most recent state assessment scores or i-Ready Benchmark assessment results as part of the application process.
If neither state assessment scores nor i-Ready Benchmark results are available, parents/guardians will need to bring their student to the District Office or their school site to complete an i-Ready Benchmark assessment at no cost. The assessment results must be included with the application before it can be considered complete.
To ensure a fair and consistent selection process, each Cambridge application is evaluated using a comprehensive scoring rubric. Applications are scored based on the following criteria:
Responses to the application questions
Student behavior
Report card/academic performance
Standardized assessment results (state assessment or i-Ready Benchmark)
Using multiple measures allows us to evaluate each applicant fairly and identify students who are well prepared to succeed in the Cambridge Program.

Innovative approaches to teaching and learning are hallmarks of the Cambridge Academies at KUSD. The Cambridge program is available at Lee Williams High School, Kingman High School, Black Mountain School, Kingman Middle School and White Cliffs Middle School.
