Fall break

Good Afternoon Bobcat Families,

Kingman Middle School will not be hosting an in person

Fall Intersession

this year. Your child is being offered an opportunity for credit recovery for any lost credits this year.  Progression points/credits is the system used by Administration to track the credits needed in order for a student to move on to the next grade level.  Credits are earned by passing classes during the quarter, students that do not pass their classes and do not earn the 7 credits by the end of the school year, will be retained.  Please see a copy of the progression point (credit) tracker sheet in the Student Handbook.

If your student receives an F in any class, they may work on iReady over the break (September 26 - October 12) to earn back credit.

Please understand this does not replace F's on a student's report card, nor is it a replacement for any missing work for the quarter; this does, however, allow students to earn back credits on their Progression Point sheet.

In order to earn credits, students will need to:

Complete 10 hours in iReady in Math or ELA (the minutes must be in either ELA or MA - NOT both)

Complet at least 10 lessons with a passing score (the lessons must be in either MA or ELA - whichever your minutes are in as well)

Students who complete may earn .25 credit for recovery (this is the equivalent of one quarter class credit)

Completion of the required time and lessons passed will be tracked by administration checking iReady during the assigned break window and any credits earned will be applied to the master tracker sheet that Ms. Nikodym (Assistant Principal) maintains.
