The school first opened in 1948 in downtown Kingman as Kingman Junior High. In 1968, the new school opened at our current location where students in grades 7-8 walked the halls. The 6th graders joined the middle school classrooms in the early 2000's and the name was changed from Kingman Junior High to Kingman Middle school, otherwise known as KMS.
