Career & Technical Education

Career and Technical Education courses prepares students for life, helping them develop readily accessible and marketable skills for today's vast workforce.

Programs provides students with opportunities to: enhance career path skills and advance personal learning; thrive in a highly interactive environments; develop the skills necessary for success in the real world; and offers a number of enriching classes in order to give students a head start into the workforce.

KMS offers Technology as electives to its students.

In Technology students are introduced to google classroom, Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point). Students also learn basic computer and internet knowledge along with digital citizenship and what it means to have a digital footprint.  This is the backbone of computer knowledge and provides the students with tools to explore others computer and technology related avenues. Such as programming, game development, software development and web design.

Additional tools have been provided to KMS technology classes by IFIXIT.

IFIXIT provided KMS technology students with tools and non static mats, that are being utilized  by students as they explore the inner workings of personal computers, while examining parts such as motherboards, hard drives, and other internal parts associated with computers.  They are also a great resources for students to view videos where IFIXIT techs take computers apart with different problems and fix them.
